Presenting Semignars: Surfing 101🐍
Our good friend Adam from Hurricane Surf Company in Nova Scotia is coming out to visit us!
On February 20th from 6-9pm we’re collaborating with @RHP and @hurricanesurfcompany to bring our surf community a technique and strength training workshop.
Adam’s expertise and experience stems from his journey surfing for Team Canada 🇨🇦 his stoke helps beginners develop good habits to regularly improve their surf experience.
Join our crew for this hands on semignar. This event is welcome to beginner and novice surfers.
Cost per participant: $90 w/ tax.

Indoor Surf Training
Strength + Endurance are two key pieces to lake surfing 🏄🏻
At Siren Section, we’re doing something new this year to help our surf crew prepare for the Spring season.
On Feb 8th and 22nd from 1-2pm at the Sarnia YMCA, we’ll be hosting surf training sessions. Cost: $25/ person including pool fees.
This means we’ll be practicing
paddling for upper body strength,
breathwork to increase stamina,
some swimming, and poolside work.
These sessions are welcome to those who haven’t surfed before too! Please note you must be able to swim*
With enough sign ups, we can expand our space to do pop ups! 🤞
Surf Theory Workshop
We’re bringing back the New Surf Theory Workshop for the New Year, only this time to London!
We’ll be hosting another surf theory workshop for our new lake surfers and those interested in getting into the sport on January 31st from 9-11am at @DoughEV (621 Dundas St, London, ON N5W 2Z1).
This event is by donation (recommended $25 including donuts, powerpoints, and stickers for each participant). Donations help us continue to run our events, share equipment, and allow instructors to come to you! Built on community for the community.
Please arrive a few minutes early to place your coffee order with DoughEV and we’ll have a selection of complimentary donuts to pair with it 🍩
*This workshop is welcome to those who do not have experience surfing on the great lakes - let us introduce you to it!
Decked Out: Paint a Board Workshop
We're kicking off this year with a special event in collaboration with O.Hey.Its Kay, Rezonance Printing, Flourish and Grow, and London Skate Co-op!
Join us on January 29th from 5-8pm at Rezonance Printing for an evening of skateboard and helmet deck-orating. This is a family friendly event for our community to share together!
Our crew is stoked to create an inclusive space for all skaters to celebrate the crossover of art and skateboarding culture in the heart of London, Ontario. If you don’t know how to get started, come to this event and we can guide you through the process to skateboard!
What to expect…
a demo on how to put a skateboard together and some safety tips.
a sticker station (free from our sponsors and local skaters!).
access to art supplies for decorating.
the opportunity to learn about screen printing.
and our favorite part, new faces from all parts of the skate community.
DRAW PRIZES!! We have tons of totes, hats, skate gear and local merch to share!
If you don’t have a board or helmet to decorate, no problem! We have community decks (shared by new skaters) and helmets for you to contribute to collaborate on and some for purchase at the event.
Snow Day with Siren Section
We hope your holiday season was filled with as much rest as excitement! With even more excitement we bring you or next get together, Snow Day with Siren Section where we hit the slopes. This will be a group event but a friendly reminder we like to surf and skate but know nothing about doing it in the snow. This is not a lesson but an opportunity to grow alongside some likeminded girls and members of the queer community.
Due to the popularity of Boler Mountain on the weekends lift tickets and rentals are available to purchase the Monday prior at 7pm. So set your calendars for 7pm on Monday, Jan 18th! The responsibility of securing rentals and tickets is upon the participants. We will be participating in a 4 hour rental from 1:30-5:30 pm.
We will be meeting at the Boler Mountain Chalet for 1:30 to get ready to shred!

Sarnia Riding Club Winter Holiday Market
This 3-day festive market hop finishes with the Sarnia Riding Club Winter Holiday Market!
This day is filled with local vendors, holiday treats, gifts, and more.
Make sure to bring a non-perishable item to donate for The Inn.
As we close up our holiday market season, we’ll be going into the holidays in style with community spirit, laughter, and good vibes throughout this weekend.

It’s a jingling holiday season in the Grand Bend area!
On December 6th from 10am-4pm, we’ll be hosting our booth (next to Santa’s photobooth) to showcase our surf and skateboarding community.

Holiday Sip & Sales
Join us on Friday, December 5th from 5-10pm in Sarnia for holiday sips, sales, local makers, and community! We’ll be at this event hosting a booth to chat about all things Siren Section. This epic event is filled with joy and giving, so make sure to bring some non-perishable items to donate to the Inn Sarnia.

We're hosting our very first theory workshop for our cold-water surfers! Our team is so excited to equip our brave surfers with the knowledge, safety, and photo/video review to improve our surf skills.

These are our last few outdoor skateboarding workshops of the season! We’ve been holding on to this beautiful weather for as long as possible. Come out for a skate with your besties while it’s still just warm enough for us to enjoy.

Medway Bowl Skate Workshop
Inspired by the Medway Bowl Competition, we are excited to bring back another workshop to this skatepark!
We’ll be hosting a workshop by donation for beginner skaters and new bowl riders from 1-2:30pm followed by a social skate.
Whether you want to bowl ride on a skateboard or learn to surfskate, it’s your opportunity to ride the concrete waves in London at the local spot.
Skool o’ Skate Programming will be running at the same time from 1-2:30pm!
Bring the whole family for skate! And if you don’t have a board, we’ll have one for you :)
Please remember to bring a helmet - padding is highly recommended but not required.

Beginner Lake Surfing Workshop
We are so stoked for our upcoming Women and Queer Beginner Workshop in collaboration with @lakelifestudio x @sirensection !!!
What does this look like ? A day at the beautiful beach of Highland Glen Conservation Area filled with waves, new friends and encouragement from our team of instructors @ambharding + @bowainema .
Boards will be provided on the beach ready to roll, all we need you to bring is willingness to try something new, and a wetsuit if you have one! We will have few available for rental - please include in your email to register if you are looking for one (sirensectionmedia@gmail.com)
@lakelifestudio will be providing goodies for all participants. You won’t want to miss it!
Spaces are limited please email to secure your spot! This workshop is by donation (recommended $85) - your donation is used to continue affordable programming for women and queer identifying folk across South-Western Ontario. Every bit goes a long way!

Punk Rock Flea Market London
She’s BACK.
Every September, we get to be a part of a wonderful community and event called, “Punk Rock Flea Market”.
If you don’t know… this event is an inclusive mega jam for skaters, locals, vendors, and people from all walks of life. If you haven’t found a place to fit in, you’ll find many!
Our friends at PRFM are going on to their 9th celebration… come out to see the event for the chance to make new friends, skate until you drop, and to see this vibrant event come to life.

A Photographic Memory Gala
Join us for an evening of history, art, and community while meeting our local surfers and skateboarders in Lambton Shores. Funded by the Creative County Grant, Bo was inspired to showcase the surf community that welcomed her when she first moved to Grand Bend. She’s now on a mission to highlight the inclusiveness of the community while paying respects to the history of the culture.
General admission by donation for the evening of the surf & skate gala for on August 16th from 7-10pm at the Grand Bend Legion (20 Municipal Dr, Grand Bend, ON N0M 1T0). Free for kids under 12!

She’s going to be a gnarly one!! As you may know, Punk Rock Flea Market in London is our jam! If you’re into music, good vibes, and a ton of skate, PRFM is the place to be.
What is special about this event is that it’s going to be an evening skate! Expect bright lights. Expect a concert style venue. Expect our crew to be there representing.
