Building a Women & Queer Surf and Skateboarding Club
Just two girls wanting more. Never settling.
Based on their friendship, Amber and Bo created this surf and club in 2024 as an initiative to welcome more people like themselves into the community.
They actively tackle the challenges entering and belonging in male-dominated sports like surfing and skateboarding. Their mission is to remove the social and financial barriers related to the sports.
Friendship, inclusion, and focusing on the journey drives their work at Siren Section. So, they put our hearts and friendship into everything they do with the club.
Surf. Skate. Girlhood.
The summer of 2026 is one to remember! We had tons of local support for our surfing, skateboarding and art-based events.
We received a Jumpstart Canadian Tire Grant with the Grand Bend Art Centre, a Sunset Foundations grant for summer camps and fundraised $500 to subsidize spots for winter programming in Grand Bend.
We wouldn’t be able to create such a great impact without your support. Thank YOU for joining our community!
